Our Mission
The Gracie Revels Foundation is a non-profit organization that is committed to enriching the lives of the Lancaster County youth through projects and events to spread love, laughter, and light in memory of Gracie.
#LiveLikeGrace
Softball.
Gracie’s biggest passion was playing the beloved sport of softball. Gracie played her entire life and poured her heart and soul into this sport. She played rec league softball, travel softball, high school softball, and continued her career to play for the University of South Carolina Union. Gracie excelled at the sport. She always left her all on the field and inspired so many to play like she did.
We plan to share our funds with softball teams in the area to update their equipment and gear, provide kids who can’t afford the necessities through Gracie’s Locker, help pay tuition costs for rec league players, and do many more things for softball players and all athletes in our community.
Special Education.
Gracie was studying to become a special education teacher while she was at USC Union. Gracie always had a passion for helping kids with disabilities. You could find her in the special ed classrooms everyday during the week at Lancaster High School helping out in the classroom and interacting with the students. She had one of the biggest hearts and these kids held a special place in her heart. Everyone who knew her knew that she would have excelled in this field.
We plan to share our funds with special education programs in the area. We would like to be able to fund classrooms with supplies to help these students learn, send classes on field trips, and do anything we can to make sure these students get what they need to have an exceptional experience while in these programs. We would also love to fund a student in a special education class each year to attend a program at a University that will further their education and help them become more successful.
Scholarships.
We provide two annual $1,000 scholarships for any Lancaster County high school senior planning to attend college in the upcoming Fall semester. Prospective recipients can visit our Scholarships page to find more information on our acceptance criteria and how to apply.
Don’t Drink and Drive.
Gracie was tragically killed in a car accident by a citizen driving drunk. Her life was ended way too soon from a careless act that could have been avoided. It is never okay to drink and drive and we plan to speak out on this subject. People don’t seem to understand the repercussions that can come from making this decision. We hope that by sharing Gracie’s story and speaking out against drunk driving, we can prevent some people from driving impaired. It only takes one bad decision to hurt someone, take someones life, or hurt yourself.
